Great news! I’ve added a brand new attraction to my list of Colorado Photography Tour destinations.
North Clear Creek Falls is a stunning photo opportunity. Its waters begin in a calm peaceful meadow and cascade 100 feet down a volcanic rock shelf into the canyon below. Access to these water falls requires no hiking and can be reached by vehicle. The route to the falls will take us through the Rio Grande National Forest and River. This area of Colorado is one of the most lovely in the state.
For you bird watchers, the North Clear Creek Falls is also a nesting area for the rare black swift. These birds nest along the rock face of the waterfall.
Due to distance, this location will only be available when combined with other tour destinations in Southern Colorado (Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde or other multi-day tours in the area).
