Are you looking for a way to eat some really good food at a discount? Me too. So for all you working photographers out there, don’t forget that even food can become a write off as long as you are using it within the service of a photo shoot.
This week I had a client wanting an upscale image of his silicon glass to make it stand out from the crowd. I suggested a “fine dinning” type image with wine, cheese, crackers, etc. and now I’m going to enjoy some otherwise un-affordable food this week. Now the cool looking crackers and cheese etc doesn’t come cheap, but since it’s part of the shoot expenses I wasn’t too fazed. But what if you don’t have a client flipping the bill? Well, that shouldn’t stop you from practicing food shots for your portfolio and yes, the food you buy for that practice shooting is a business expense. Bammm! a quick 30% off sale (so make sure to practice your photography with the most expensive food in your cart)…
