Wow! that’s disappointing to hear. I also have bailed on Fine Art America at this point. IN FACT, I’ve bailed on all these sites in the article at this point. For some they will still be a good option, but the reality is this…. If you cannot provide your own traffic you will sell little to nothing on these sites (did not used to be the case, but they are so huge and diluted now). AND if you are capable of providing your own traffic, then there is little reason to use their site and pay their commissions. You can simply add your own cart to your own website and keep it all.

Thank you for sharing, it happens all the time. Photography can be truly deceiving. Another of my favorite examples is the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. I always thought they were in the middle of nowhere and desolate, but when I went there I found huge crowds and they are right next to the city.

I used Fine Art America I left because they kept suggesting to push the price down. They even wrote an article about charging 5 percent or less over the cost of the print. Several of the top selling photographers were selling their print for $1 over print cost. I didn’t want to give my art work away so bailed.

only 1 image at a time as far as I know. I would suggest making two seperate images and then compositing in Photoshop.
