Photography Tutorials and Resources

The web is a massive resource for finding information about photography. How to do this, where to find that, best practices, etc.. but while it is a lucrative source of knowledge it is also a giant dumping ground for crap. So much of the information out there is wrong, recycled and incomplete, thus tracking down the quality material is more work than your average person wants to deal with.
Good news for you! Since it's my job to stay up on the latest trends, skills, blah blah blah… I have no choice but to plow through this sea of material looking for quality information. I see no reason why you should have to do this when I've already done it, so I'm creating this page where I will list anything of value I find, as I find it. Bookmark this page and come back to it whenever you're looking for new tutorial resources to read.
Interviews from the World of Photography

As I troll the web looking for inspiration in the photography world, I will often come across really interesting interviews with professionals and "skilled up and comers".
Cool Photography Portfolios

Hey folks. I spend a great deal of time cruising the internet looking at other people's work. It's a great way to get new creative ideas, to learn new techniques and just enjoy the beauty and creativity of your fellow photographers. The down side of course, is that you often spend two hours browsing to find five minutes worth a really good work. Since most of you are likely "weekend warriors" or enthusiasts as they're called by the photo industry, you probably don't have the free time to devote toward digging up all the quality portfolios.
That is where this single page is going to help you. As I come across great photographic work and portfolios, I will add them to the list. All you need to do is drop by once in a while and get hand fed links to really cool photographs each week.
Selling Photography Online (website reviews)
There are many websites available where you can sell your photography and artwork. All come standard with a personal page where you can simply upload your images and begin sales, while a few give you a custom store of your own. Some of these store fronts provide options for selling various products and merchandise with your imagery on it, while others are focused solely on selling prints and canvases. Some take a large piece of your profit and others do not. The list of options, pros and cons is long, so which of these Store Fronts are the best for you? I've tried them all. Weeded out the junk sites and found the top players. Here is my take on each.
Faux Frames – Big Gaudy Frames for All
Have you ever wanted a big Parisian Gold frame for your artwork? Maybe Florentine style framing, the type that looks l like it weighs 200lb (and most likely does)? Well, that's sort of frame has generally been reserved fro rich people's libraries or museums. But now you too can make any art piece in your house look like the most important thing in the room (even if it's just a photo of last year's work picnic). Faux Frames to the rescue with light weight, inexpensive cardboard 3D frames. Yes, I said cardboard.
