Well, it’s been a while since i’ve put out any textured photography.  Several months in fact.  But my rencent trip to Vancouver has given me quite a few exciting new shots to work with.  Today I present “Grey Parrot” (yes, I know I’m pretty slick with my titles).   The image was shot in a flower conservatory (Bloedel Floral Conservatory).  I think it’s name was “Rosie”.  Rosie was not being particularly helpful with her posses.  It took several dozen shots to finally get one I liked.  Tell me what you think.

Checked out a new trail in the Flat Irons near Boulder Colorado.  One of the trails makes it’s way up to a place called Royal Arch.  Very sweet.  It’s a rough hike though.  A good amount of steep vertical to hike, but it’s worth it.  Check out the photos.

Images from a recent trip to Vancouver Canada.   Photos include seals, sea lions, bald eagles, huge ocean tankers and flowers and parrots from the Bloedel Floral Conservatory.  Sadly these images were supposed to include a bunch of Orca photos as twice we headed out for whale watching tours.  But twice we returned without any sightings.  Still got good photos though.

The other day while shooting photos around downtown Denver I dropped into the big church (Cathedral) on Colfax near the state capital building.  I’d been in there a few times before, but never with my camera.  This time I came prepared with tripod and all ready to shoot the place up (figuratively that is).  I was getting some decent material when the churches music director, Brandon waved me over from up in the Organ balcony.  He invited me up to shoot from the organ area.  This made for a much better perspective and allowed me some unexpected sweet images of books and music pages which happend to be lieing about in the area.  Below are the goods from this shoot.  I’m really happy with them.  Some of my best architecture photographs to date.
