Coming soon! "Virtual Instruction".
I'm hard at work getting the new software ready and preparing materials to use for future online lessons. With the use of new Webinar services I will soon be providing tutoring in Photoshop, Lightroom and some Photography topics right over the web.
This will be an amazing way for me to provide a much wider variety of lesson topics, to a wider number of people (and thus at a reduced costs to you). No need for you to travel, no need to make "time in the day". All you need is your computer, headphones and your web-cam (and you don't really need your web-cam unless you need me to look at your camera or something). This is NOT just watching some training video. This is live training with me in real time (but also with all my course materials available too).
Webinars: will consist of Full presentations, interactive lessons, real time screen sharing and shared applications. In addition you'll be able to return to and review the webinar as much as you like because all webinars will be recorded for students to access as needed for review of materials. Sounds good huh?
And with the group lesson format of a webinar I will be able to provide you with instruction for a reduced rate.
"But what if I want private lessons so we can focus on just the topics that I'm having trouble with."?
Private Lessons: The technology will allow me to provide one on one tutoring as well. We will still be able to talk and see each other like always, but now I'll have access to sample imagery, graphs and charts, demonstration videos and much more. While lessons in person are always the best option, this is going to be a very close 2nd. AND just like the webinars, you will have access to your tutoring recording so you can review everything we went over anytime you need. That might almost make this better.
?For some topics nothing is going to beat hands on "in the field" training. But there is a whole lot of material that can be learned just as well, if not better, through the use of this type of online live instruction.
On Demand Help: Lastly this will enable me to provide immediate help to you for short periods of time. For example: let's say you were having particular issues with your camera settings, or maybe have trouble working on a portrait retouch in Photoshop. You'll soon be able to just give me a ring. We jump right into my virtual lesson room and we can tackle your problems on the spot. No need to travel, and since there's no travel shorter lesson times will be available (ie: as short as 1 hr).
This is a great way to improve your skills without having to "make time" to come out here to Golden. Learn the skills you need to improve your photography from the comfort of you home.
I'd love to hear from my current clients what you think of this idea. Please let me know in the comments below.
