Historic Cemeteries in Colorado

Colorado has a wealth of historic cemeteries, most dating from the mid 1800's and are relics of the state’s gold rush mining days.
The early residents of mining towns—such as Central City and Blackhawk—chose places of beauty for their loved ones’ final resting place. Generally these locations would be away from the mines and hustle/bustle of a busy mining community. Just outside of the town of Central City and Blackhawk Colorado, can be found two very old and photogenic cemeteries. One being the Knights of Pythias (a fraternal order) and another, the "Catholic" cemetery.
I've recently added these two locations as additional popular stops on my photography tours. To read more about them visit – Popular Photo Shoots in Colorado | Historic Cemeteries.
